Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the NU (ኑ) – Come Discover Ethiopia mobile application, website, services, content, software, features, or related products (collectively, the “Service”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and NU (ኑ).

You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your country, to create an account or make bookings through the platform. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, company, or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Users agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to laws of: Ethiopia, United Kingdom, European Union, United States, and any country where the user accesses the Service. Including laws relating to: Consumer rights, Data protection and privacy, Electronic commerce, Intellectual property, Cybercrime and fraud, Competition law, Travel and tourism regulation, Payment services, Defamation / harmful content, and Sanctions / export controls where applicable.

You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials, all activity under your account, and providing accurate information. You may not impersonate others, create fake accounts, or circumvent suspensions. NU reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.

Illegal / Harmful Conduct: Use the platform for unlawful activity, fraud, scams, or promote violence/hate speech. Technical Abuse: Hack, reverse engineer, use bots/crawlers without consent, or introduce malware. Content Abuse: Upload false reviews, fake listings, or offensive/illegal content. Commercial Abuse: Copy listings, pricing, photos, designs, or build competing clone apps using NU content.

You retain ownership of your original content but grant NU a worldwide license to host, display, and promote it for platform operations. NU may remove content violating these Terms.

NU is an intermediary platform connecting users with providers (hotels, transport, etc.). Unless stated otherwise, NU is not responsible for third-party conduct, pricing, cancellations, or safety failures.

Prices may change without notice. Taxes and fees may apply. Refund rules depend on provider terms. Fraudulent transactions may be cancelled by NU.

Use of the Service is governed by the Privacy Policy. NU aims to comply with EU, UK, California, and Ethiopian data and cyber laws.

NU may suspend or terminate access immediately for breaches, IP infringement, legal risk, or fraud. No refund is required for misconduct-related termination.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” NU does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free performance, or complete accuracy of all listings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NU shall not be liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or travel disruption. Liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 12 months.

Disputes are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom or Ethiopia. NU may enforce IP rights in any competent court worldwide.

NU may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates means acceptance of revised Terms.

Any copied, cloned, or confusingly similar service attempting to exploit the NU concept may face immediate legal enforcement and damages claims.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the full agreement between you and NU.
